Firewood at Moondance
Help the DNR and U.S. Forest Service Stop the Spread of invasive Pests: Buy Firewood where You burn it
The Moondance festival grounds are surrounded by the Chippewa National Forest. It is illegal to transport firewood into state and national forests and parks because of the ability of invasive species to tag along. Some invasive species can be devastating to forest areas. Please respect the natural area by being responsible and only burn firewood that was harvested locally.
Look for firewood vendors, Itasca Outdoors, at the campground entrances when you get to Moondance. You can pick it up there or give them your campsite number and they will deliver it. They will also be traveling the trails selling firewood as needed. Just flag them down if you need to refill your wood pile. Fire rings are required for all campfires.
