After listening to Motley Inc, Atomic Punks and Cavo for the last couple of days, I am even more excited. Cavo is just good old fashioned rock and roll, and even though the other 2 are tribute bands, they rock! Wednesday morning, the 18th, we get to wake up and head to MDJ...I can't wait.
Moondance Jam...the best 4 days of my year!

I just wanted to share this from a note I wrote from last year.
"This is why I loved Moondance Jam this year:
#1-- KATHY -- I ran into Kathy on our way to the Tiki bar the first day and this is why she's so loved. I had lost my license right before the Jam and I didn't know what I should do in order to get into the campground. I had e-mailed Kathy only a few days before the event and being the busy person she is, she didn't get a chance to respond back to me. So, when walking up to Kathy and her recognizing my face and remembering my name goes, "oh good, you made it in, I was worried if you'd run into any problems" and then she apologizes for not getting back to me and then gives me a big hug. How cool is that!
#2 -- Moondance Peeps -- I personally had a negative Moondance experience. I won't go into the full story, but it involved one young man being extremely rude, disrespectful and in my face. I can't handle confrontation, but thank goodness I have my friends. Camp Howler peeps and my bud Puma had my back and took care of the situation for me. It made me feel good knowing after talking to security that all we had to do was call 911 and they'd be there if there was any more problems."
I think that everyone who works at MD are the best in the business. I've been to many concerts through the years and the workers at MD are pretty special. They've always been helpful, kind and friendly.

Kathy is a fantastic lady.. Last year I had a very strange request, and she accomodated and said "Yes" to my request. We knew that we were going to Moondance Jam, and I also knew that I was going to be ordering a $170 satellite receiver from a company in Minnesota. If I had the satellite receiver shipped to my house in Canada, I would have had to pay for customs clearance, duties, taxes, postage, etc, etc, etc. I asked Kathy if I could have the satellite receiver shipped to Moondance so that I could pick it up when I attended the event. Kathy said YES. I had the satellite receiver shipped to Moondance, and on the first day there I went to the backstage bar and picked up the package. Kathy had let the staff know that I would be coming by that afternoon looking for the package. I sincerely appreciate the effort that the whole Moondance Jam staff put into making sure that jammers are well taken care of.
