Yes. She had fun when we were at Luckys 13. After we left there I'm not sure where they mosied off too. I'll assume she had a good time everywhere she went. I didn't see anyone at Hairball that I knew. The new guy though - Freak - seemed pretty cool. I thought he looked like a Faster Pussycat.

Hey there bud! Okay, okay , okay. . . I tend to lurk more and more as Moondance gets closer and closer and I see Philly post something. Whoop whoop! Love it! All I can say is "ditto' dude and yes . . . MD has some kind of special vibe going on and if people can't see it or feel it, then . . . oh, well. Bunches of us started to go because of the music but keep coming back, not only because of the people but because of the "peeps" too. Where do you go when they remember that you like headbands to wear on your head and they make sure they buy "girl" ones? (MD does!), where do you go where you can talk to the workers and owners and they remember you? (MD does), where can you go to just sit down and chat with your neighbors 'cuz they seem nice and look like they are having fun (HI Camp Howler!), Where do you go to see fun people every year . . . Moondance!

I went to Moondance 13 years ago for the first time(for the bands - been to many many festivals. picked it because it had a good line up) and fell in love with the atmosphere of Moondance. I get my fill of bands over the year every year but will always be going to Moondance because of the people that attend. They are the best! Someone posted that all outdoor festivals have great campers and attendees and I kind of agree but nothing compares to the people at Moondance. Love the Moondance virgins (first time at Moondance). I really have never met anyone that has not come back the next year after their first time. If you are on this site and lurking and are on the fence about going....can't guarantee a good time but the odds are stacked heavily in your favor.
Well I never post (only lurk) but take it from someone who has had Moondance ticket #1 for many years.....welcome to the party if you are coming for the first time and welcome back those who are returning.....and for those who have decided to skip it this year, good luck to you...I mean it....PM me if ya found something as good and fun as Moondance...... as long as that fun does not fall on the same weekend as Moondance, you may see me there!
Thanks for listening

so let me just ask all of you Moondance flag wavers, if they stop bringing in bands, are you still meeting here each year to camp and drink? I don't think so. the quality of the music is what brings in the crowds and that's what will keep moondance going. you can't argue the fact that the years (or days) that the lineup has been stellar, the crowds are bigger. yes, you have all made good friends and you love the atmosphere and all the rest, if they stop bringing in good bands or bands all together, that's the end of moondance! it seems that the core group on here is trying to stand up for mdj at every turn. do you get some kinda special privileges if you support it no matter what? are you afraid to * off the powers that be? they want input, they want to hear the good and bad. if they don't get negetive feedback, nothing will change. as is the case with any music fest, if the music stops, the people stop coming. all of this "i'm here for the people and friends" bull drives me nuts. it's a music fest, bring in the bands and people will stop complaining and start showing up. how many people on here have said that they know multiple people that aren't coming this year because the lineup sucks? seems pretty cut and dry to me. you can camp and drink with friends anywhere and anytime, this is a music fest, first and foremost, the majority of people want good music! supply a quality product and the people will come. i am attending this year(at least part of the weekend), but only because i won tix. i would not pay for this lineup and obviously i'm not the only one who thinks that way.

Please be nice with your posts. This is not a message board to belligerently sound off on bands, other people or on the Jam. “Moondance Message Board” is a great connection for the fans and the Jam.

That's a cut and paste from the Forum rules, since some don't feel the need to read them, or follow them, even slightly. I have delete powers but I'll leave it up to JWG on that one.

If we are dedicated to the Jam why do some feel the need to bash us. Stop the name-calling. Seriously.

To answer you. Yes. And we do. A pretty sizeable group meet up in January to eat, drink, dance & laugh, and the powers that be, including owner Kathy, come out, too. And some of us have met up for a camping weekend to do pretty much the same thing. So there.
