80DAS, 80DAS!!

We still have two more to go. You are right about the weather. It is time to bust out the mower, tiller and chainsaw and cleanup the yard.

I'm stuck on weather (maybe because it is pouring rain here & 60 mph winds)... "I said it's like thunder, it's like lightening"... Donna Summer sang this... Donna Summer is coming to Moondance... oh my, bet THAT would go over "well"!!! At my first Moondance some Peeps we meet said "think about Donna Summer's name in the phonebook... Summer Donna"   well... that became one of the lines of the event for us... if your friends were getting out of hand... you yelled "SUMMER DONNA" to them!!!   Ok, maybe you had to be there...

I'm a glass half full guy but Grand Funk as a 9pm is a real bummer. I've been a loyal jammer for 15 years but won't buy tickets for next year until the lineup is set. That being said, still looking forward to the Jam - thinking we'll all have more "elbow room" near the front. And that's my positive take on a lineup that, in my opinion, doesn't measure up to the great standard that MDJ has set for itself. Anyone else think that Kid Rock at Mystic Lake Casino on July 15th will bite into the Kid Rock fans at MDJ?

I don't think it will. I think Kid Rock fans will want to see him at MDJ, where one can drink their favorite alcoholic beverage. Plus, it's half a MDJ ticket, just to see the one act at Mystic Lake.

What's interesting to me is that there are still two open slots. I think there is plenty of sentiment on here that MDJ needs to improve this year's lineup. Let's see if they are listening to their customers. MDJ has at least two opportunities to upgrade. Perhaps MDJ will respond with two stronger-than-expected announcements. Maybe a 9:00-caliber band becomes available and the lineup changes. Maybe a tribute band is able to re-schedule for a different day. Who knows?

I think MDJ is all about the people that come to have fun, the music is secound to me. The 2 years that I have been there I can say honestly i have only seen 6 or 7 of the bands that have come thru and i only stayed for a few min of each of them with the exception of Cinderella and Joan Jett, start to finish for those fantastic 2!. For me i enjoy sitting at CAMP HOWLER and doing the cockand bull, talking smack and having a few laughs with all the fun people that come belly up to the bar. People need to relax. there are a few great bands in for this year! And if you only go for the music then you are missing out on a lot! its about the people and the friendships and meeting some of the greatest people in the world with great hearts and funny stories to tell. Looking forward to another GREAT time this year. 70DAS for me please and CUPS UP!!

The one group that I absolutely NEED to see at Moondance every year is the Camp Howler group... If they aren't going to be 'playing' at Moondance Jam, then count me out! :) From the very first time that I ever attended Moondance, the people at Camp Howler always made me feel welcome. I guess for me, Moondance is about the people 1st and the bands 2nd. But that being said, I am one of the jammers that was initially drawn to the event by the bands, but NOW I go back for the people. If it hadn't been for the lineup in 2008 that included Sammy, Poison, Styx, Sweet, Great White, CCR, I may not have attended, because at that point in time, I didn't know how awesome Jammers are...
