The one I actually remember listening to on a summer night in high school and thinking "this captures this moment perfectly" is "Hot Summer Nights" by Van Halen. Cruising, windows down, listening to music...good times. I remember it like it was yesterday.
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

Is it moondance time yet I bought myself a 6 person beer bong and having been anxious to try it. I'm going to wait until moondance to break it in, just seems right to break it in on the hallowed grounds of moondance!

Please, pretty please... make sure I'm there to SEE that!!!

1987/1988 def leopard and Whotesnake were huge, both releasing brand new cd's that really moved rock Bach on the radio!!! Crying in the rain, hysteria... Driving around the lakes in Minneapolis they were on every radio!!! That was summer... The music that followed... Autograph, tesla, guns and roses..... That was summer music!!!

Another one of my favorites from August of 1981....Start Me Up; which is what I will be listening to the morning of July 18th.

Yes, Def Leppard was huge with Hysteria. Pour Some Sugar On Me peaked on the radio summer of '88 I believe. Soon after came the return of Motley Crue and Aerosmith fresh out of rehab. I think they even recorded their Dr. Feelgood and Nine Lives records in the same building, same time across the hall from each other. Scorpions released one in '90 I think. I remember Winds Of Change on the radio a lot during my last week of school that year, excited for summer vacation. Those few years were great for some 80's bands.
