1. Yay...so freakin pumped! Three Days Grace is the band I'm looking forward to seeing the most now! Great job Moondance Jam!
2. WTF...Friday at 9? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining... but, Don Felder, then Three Days Grace, then John Fogerty?? I would think they would be a Thursday between Kid Rock and Hinder band?

Im guessing they get 9pm money and we wouldn't have money for the friday nine if we paid them 9pm money at 7pm Thursday...

I bet initially MDJ wanted them on Thursday but it may have come down to routing that made them take Friday.
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

I am totally going with the date on this one. Probably the only date and time that worked. We still don't know the scheduling conflicts they may have in booking the additonal bands.

and i like the Friday part. Mix it up a bit...give the young rockers something to look fwd to on Friday since Felder and Fogerty are old enough to be some of their Grandparents and they might not be as pumped for Friday as some of us ;)

I was so certain of it yesterday that for a moment I had a couple 3DG vids up on FB with my own unofficial announcement, but then took them off half hour later and flagged myself with a false start. Didn't want to get myself in trouble with anyone, just in case it was wrong. But yeah, I like the time slot too, good mix, something for every type of fan on each day. Not only that, but I could be starting a new job between now and then, and if I cannot get the days off, I could miss Thursday. Honestly, I'd rather see 3DG over Kid Rock, so this works great.

Boston would be cool again. I wonder for their auditions for a lead singer if they had them first get measured for height, and reject anyone under 6'1" before giving them a listen. Lame joke, but I remember last time they played MDJ even the female bassist was 6'1". They were all tall and lanky. Would've been an interesting sight to have had Ronnie James Dio filling in for a cameo appearance with the band.

Cheers!

Well, I guess it is time to hand out a trophy and since Chagen wanted to share it with Petch, you each get one: :trophy: :trophy:

Going to be in the 9:00 spot on Friday (yep, Friday)

Thanks for sharing Chagen! This signing rocks! Man July can't come soon enough. I may be 53 but I love my R & R.

It looks like a lot of interesting upcoming music options in the metro area this summer. The Soundtown Fest in Sommerset, WI just announced Jane's Addiction, Weezer, and Florence + the Machine as the headliners for a 2 day show. Tickets are pretty cheap too. Under $80 for both days. I may have to go. Weezer is hella fun live, and Florence, well she can flat out sing.
