Don Brewer (original drummer and vocalist) and Max Carl (briefly sang for .38 Special when Don Barnes left for a while)
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

How many orginal members are left?

I just looked up my writeup from 2009 - Don Brewer and bassist Mel Schacher.
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

you guys are harsh... I loved them last time and am happy to see them back. I love going to the pit for the 3 and 5 oclock slots and getting up to the front....

O.R., I'm with you on that, I also love those afternoon shows in the sunshine right up front downing some cold ones. I think I will go outside and practice right now. I've never seen GFR yet, but have read more good than bad on them.

I have to agree a little on this one there ok... but we need some fresh meat on stage this year. Like i said before im putting faith in the jams staff. They have always made moondance great , We all have to remember not everyone is going to like every band.

OK, I'll bite on this one. I've rocked out to these guys twice, both times with the sun shining. We have some good headliners so far and I believe more on the way. GFR is made up of good musicians who perform well. Their cost I'm sure will help to preserve some funds to get a few more quality later bands. They make a good 3 or 5:00 band paving the way for the closers later on. I think the biggest problem most might have is it has been awhile since the last bigger named band was named and everyone gets nervous. Some good stuff is coming, just be patient and wait for the various restrictions on announcing to clear. In the mean time enjoy this unbelievable almost "Jam Like" weather!! :)

it's all going to be ok, if you don't like this signing, maybe you'll like the next... if you love this signing, maybe you'll hate the next... maybe you'll find that what you thought you hated you'll love... who knows. Yes, I know. Fresh meat. Would be nice. Would be nice if each one of us could get our absolutely perfect line-up, but that's just silly to think. And impossible to do. It's fine to belly-ache, just remember the signing you hate may be the very favorite band of another Jammer. Just my opinion. I know.

I'm looking forward to this one for exactly the same reasons as others who have posted on here already: bright sunshine, cold beer, fun music. They're entertaining and they sound good. It's hard to ask for much more from an early band. Yeah, they're regulars at MDJ - but only because they consistently deliver.
