A couple questions for going alone

A couple questions for going alone

Postby pharyjane » Tue Jul 12, 2011 11:55 am

I recently won 2 tickets to MDJ here in Duluth. I only went there one time before two years ago and had a blast. (recently moved back to MN after living away a long time) With the late notice, friends cant seem to get off work or are out of town etc and cant even give this other ticket away. With the state shut down Im off work and ready to go and party. Staying at a friends property close by and hoping to have a fun time anyways. Wondering if you can go wander around these gatherings in the campground to get to know some people. Im pretty friendly and a music freak all my life. Also wondering about drinks, I cant remember if you can take water into the venue or not and approximate prices of beers to plan on. Im looking forward to the whole experience and open to any suggestions. I will have one friend that will be there but he will have some woman with him that is the jealous type so you know how that goes lol. Hoping we can hang out together at some point that as we got to see Priest there last time I was there and that was one of the best times of my life in recent years. Anyways....hoping the more experienced MDJers can advise. Thanks and have a great time folks 8-)

we camp so I don't know the rules on if they'll let ya into the campgrounds... sometimes they do & sometime they don't... it may depend on who you are, who ya know & how cute you are LOL! You can't bring any drinks into the concert, and I believe that means water, too. Have a safe trip & a great time, and you see me and/or the guy in the pic with me ~ that's HOWLER ~ stop us and say hi!

Been awhile since I've been able to be on... I attend both Jams... if the prices are the same as Jammin Country were, beer is still $4 and drinks went up a buck at $5/shot. Food prices are about the same and like any other 'fair'. Last year we were allowed to go to the campground and visit, but no drinks of any kind were allowed back in. Not sure what the rules/regs will be on that this year. I will tell you it is still the best run outdoor venue to see/feel/hear music and meet people in the upper midwest and we ALL hope it continues on for years to come. Enjoy!!!

You can't go wrong walking aroun South Reserve campground and south electric, go out the gate by the saloon stage. Nothing allowed in, unless your good at sneaking things in :o :o :o :o

yep, find Tuttle...he'll walk ya around!
