Songs of the Day

Postby Chris » Mon May 24, 2010 8:46 am

Ok, it is "Songs of the Day" time. I will start by posting 2 songs per day from the bands in order they are appearing at the jam. I will do it this way for one round (15 days), then I may change. I would like to eventually get through 8-10 songs from each band.

First up is Tonic, a band that has really grown on me and one I never would have listened to if not for the jam. Our 3pm bands this year are amazing..

Tonic
Open Up Your Eyes (Their #2 Mainstream Rock Hit from 1996) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lDIJjnCHco
Mountain (One of my favorites of theirs, great buildup to the end) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFP0g3l6UfU
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

I like the first one in the list, good tune. Not familiar with the other one at all, but might have to check it out.

Cool to see videos again! Really looking forward to Tonic!!! "If You Could Only See" is one of my faves! Hoobastank seems young but I will definitely check them out! Thanks Chris.

For Hoobastank, I like Crawling In The Dark. Not too keen on the others, but this one rocks...somewhat.

Today's songs are the first hit from Buckcherry "Lit Up" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock charts) and their latest hit "All Night Long" (from their forthcoming album). Thursday is going to be crazy!

Today's songs are from Thursday's headliner, Sammy Hagar. He stole the show two years ago at 7pm and now he is where he should be, closing the first night of the jam. Songs featured today are "I Can't Drive 55," including the video and a live clip of that song at Moondance Jam 2008 (thanks Pink Flamingo for digging this one up!), "I'll Fall In Love Again," and one of my favorites "Give to Live." The headliners get 3 songs this round. Read a preview of Sammy Hagar at viewtopic.php?f=27&t=848.
