Questions from a 1st time Jammer..

Tinman - I agree about buying "Best of" CD's of Moondance bands. I hae done it the last couple years and it really helps. Plus I have become fans of a lot of bands that way. The Guess Who is now one of my all-time favorites (I am going to Bachman-Cummings in June woohoo!), I really like Big Head Todd now, Toto also. This year I have discovered Sweet and Boz Scaggs who I never would have picked up without Moondance jam. I'm actually spending too much right now on CD's - just got George T's greatest hits and the new Sebastian Bach CD yesterday. It is fun but expensive!
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

Marie - My writeups also have a setlist section and I try to post the most recent setlist I can find for each artist. I will update them as we draw closer to the jam as well so you can get an idea of what you will hear.

Good Morning Jammers and Happy Tuesday!!! :headbang: The weather appears to be cooperating for the next few days and then snow again. Can you believe it? I thought the 12 inches we got on Friday was enough. Well anyway, I was wondering if once we get to the Jam some sort of program will be available listing all the Jam performers and their performance times. Or do I just need to print info from this website? Thanks much and Happy Thoughts to all!!! PS and "NO Snow" thoughts please.

Most years they handed out a schedule in a newspaper format along with trash bags at the gate but it never hurts to print out the schedule and take it with. Be aware that sometimes they do have to make last minute changes so if you gotta see a specific band, it's best to check with postings at the gate or ask the people at the concert area gate.

Hairball does a great stage show!!

I've got another question

Postby Davage » Thu May 22, 2008 2:42 pm

OK - I've got another question that I just thought of. Supplies like Milk and Bread. If we run out, is there a convenience store within stumbling distance of the event? :) :?: We will be eating out of coolers, and I don't want to waste a lot of space in the cooler with large jugs of milk, when that room could be used for chilling BEER. How far away is any sort of store to get things like Milk or Bread ?

We substitute beer for milk, cheerios are great with hops and barley....
As far as bread...beer is basically liquid bread...
I'm sorry... what was your question again.

If Beer won't do the trick, there is a convienience store by the casino, right next to the liqour store... Yes it is there....or Walker is about 5 miles down the road. A great town with lots to see and do. AND there is a Dairy Queen for those ice cream cravings.

Last year we hit the backstage bar for the morning buffet. Nice spread with plenty of fruit and eggs and such. Hopefully they do that again.

Davage... we don't bring milk (it's not the best on the tummy after a night of drinking, altho it is my stranded-on-a-desert-island drink of choice) and our breakfast usually consists of hotdog or ham sandwiches (for the salt)... but THE thing to do is to go to the Lazy Moon and have their breakfast / bloody mary buffet! AWESOME!

We usually have bloodies at CH, too... come on over :D

Chocolate Milks has always been my hangover cure. Lots and lots of the highest fat percentage chocolate milk I can get my hands on. My local stores used to sell 3.25% Homogenized Chocolate Milk - I always found that it was very soothing to the stomach after a night of drinking. That and also McDonalds greasy breakfast. The grease for some reason was soothing.

We are going to have breakfast sausages, bacon and english muffins - which is as close to a McDonalds breakfast I think we'll find out there :)

My plan is to bring a gallon jug of chocolate milk for "The morning after"
