North Reserved Camping

Postby Bcrocker » Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:14 am

This will be our first time at MDJ after 12 years at Rockfest in WI. We have 2 sites in the North Reserved area. I am wondering about a few things...

1. How the ground is here...flat, hilly, etc...
2. We have a 5th wheel 32'--will we have any trouble getting into our sites? I looked at some pics and see some pretty big rigs there.
3. How is the "atmosphere" in the North camping? I've read alot about South Reserved, but no comments on North.
4. Interested in meeting some new people that like beer, music & good company! :P

Hi Bcrocker!! We are South Reserved campers but did camp in NR our first Jam and we do a walk-thru nearly every Jam. Kinda depends on the site #'s you got, some are great and some are rather bumpy. My suggestion, first, try and get there early so you have room to maneuver your rig in. Secondly, make friends with your neighbors, it's what makes the Jam the best fun. Thirdly, make your way on a walk-about thru South Reserved and stop by Camp Howler (SR685++) and say HI! :D Welcome aboard!!

Thanks everybody! MDJ people are very friendly and helpful! We are camping in N 176 & N 177. We are planning on arriving early on Wednesday. Thanks for the info and we just might have to stop over at Camp Howler to say Hi! :D Although it does seem like we picked the wrong area.....South Reserved seems to be the place to go!!!!!

Hi Bcrocker, we are in the same boat. 14 years at Rockfest and we will be Moondance virgins. We have 2 sites in North Reserved too. But we'll be driving an RV. I suppose the atmosphere is what we make it. Partay! We are also going to Thunder Mountain Rockfest the week before. It's gonna be a great July.

Bcrocker, those look like pretty good spots in NR, right in the midst of the par-tay!! Kansas666, where you at!?! Well, just come by CH (SR685+ ask someone how to cut thru the woods, it's faster and you can bring your beer thru!). We'll also soon plan a Meet n Greet for all of us who post here and wanna meet!! It's always tentatively scheduled for 2:22 Jam Thursday but stay tuned for MORE info!

Welcome aboard Kansas666 & Bcrocker!!
