I was also wondering..... as Ian is...how we will get our VIP bands and lanyards if VIP is not open on Wed. We are planning on attending the Pre-party and would like to know the procedure for those of us in VIP. Thanks for your time....Can't wait. 41 more sleeps....

I've wondered this myself but I'm guessing that we will not check into VIP at all on Wednesday. Jean & Don (the great people who run VIP!) told me last year that they would be working VIP three days this year instead of four. Our tickets should get us into the jam area but we won't get VIP perks until Thursday. If I'm wrong JWG will let us know.
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

Chris, Hi...yes I think that we would NOT check into VIP, Just wondering about getting on the grounds, just show our ticket and then keep it until Thursday? Kinda scared of losing it...Never know what shape I could be in during/after the pre-party....haha...

Everyone gets in for FREE on Wednesday even if you do not have a tickets, so no worries about check in. I just posted the details on the website: http://www.moondancejam.com/info-preparty.html

Thanks for the info! I didn't realize it was a free deal that anyone could attend. Is it too late to lobby for using the main stage?? I would think that it would give a better first impression for curious visitors. Plus, us regulars would appreciate it, as well. :D :D :D :D :D

If I may ask, is the reason for not using the main stage because you don't think there will be that many people showing up??? And, what if a few thousand do? JumboTron is nice, but will there be remote sound, as well? Also, if there's a big crowd at the Saloon, will there be a clear way to the shuttle drop off... assuming it's in the same place?? I apologize if these questions have been asked/answered already... but there are a million posts on this forum, and the time is getting close... :D :D

I'm guessing having Wednesday night free will bring in even more people. I think there is the potential for it to be packed that night, especially since people are used to having the jam start on Wednesday.

This will be my third year. The first year I came by myself (couldn't get anyone to come) and last year I brought a friend. This year going solo again. But I will still have a most excellent time, even if Def Leppard isn't there. :D

THESE ARE ALL VALID REASONS FOR HAVING WEDNESDAY ON THE MAIN STAGE. I HAVE LOBBIED FOR THIS FOR AWHILE, BUT IT SEEMS TO OFFEND SOME PEOPLE. HAIRBALL BRINGS A LARGE FOLLOWING AS I AM SURE MANY OF THE OTHER BANDS PLAYING THAT NIGHT WILL TOO.

PLEASE HAVE THE MAIN STAGE OPEN. I THINK THE BENEFITS OUT WEIGH THE NEGATIVES (AND PROBABLY THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS COST). BUT I THINK THERE WILL BE WAY MORE PEOPLE THERE ON WEDNESDAY THAN PEOPLE REALIZE. THE MAIN STAGE WOULD BE AWESOME FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT. EVEN THOUGH IT IS A PRE JAM PARTY IT JUST WON'T SEEM LIKE THE JAM WITH THAT HUGE STAGE SITTING THERE DARK AND EMPTY WHEN IT SHOULD BE FILLED WITH MUSIC.

THE SALOON STAGE IS TOO SMALL BECAUSE (INSERT ANY OF THE REASONS THAT HAVE BEEN MENTIONED HERE).

HAIRBALL (AND THE REST OF THE PRE JAM BANDS) FOR THE MAIN STAGE!!
