Moondance Jam has been a damn good run.. I'm looking forward to being there for the Finale... and I also anxiously await to see what Kathy dreams up for the next chapter at Moondance. I've said for years and years that it is the people that keep me coming back. Kathy could fill the main stage with regional bands, and as long as I'm able to camp and hang out with the Moondance family, I'll come back again and again. The profit margin on regional bands I think would be higher than the big name bands. Bringing in KISS at $1 Million vs bringing in 12 to 15 regional bands for a few thousand dollars each results in much different profits, even if the attendance at Moondance drops a bit. We all realize that Kathy needs to make money to keep this thing afloat. The posts I've seen online criticizing the current lineup and saying that there should be a bunch of big bands for the final chapter of the Jam are totally out of touch with the reality of the small business that Kathy runs. Kathy stated it well when she said that they look like a big business, but in fact they are a small family run venture.
If there is a place to camp, and some music on a stage somewhere, I'll be back in the future. (As long as it isn't "rap" music

)
