First, the bad news. The beer went up $1, it's now $5

And, now, the good news. The beer now comes in a 16 oz can, vice a 12 oz can! So, it's all good! More beer for the price!

Sodas and water are still $2

More reviews later....

Uffda They using paper moondance money or the moondance token's :?: :morning:

Hi everyone! Got my head out of the fog and ready to update you a MDJC! IT WAS AWESOME! :devdogblue: Considering that all of Lake Superior got dumped on the grounds all week, the stage crew did a fabulous job getting everything done and up in plenty of time. Miserable conditions to work with. The rain we got most of the weekend was at night or early morning with a short bout during Billy Currington, but by then no one cared and he just kept playing. Chris Cagle was great, little Morgan Frazier is very talented and of course Neal McCoy was hilarious!!!!! :crowdsurf: BEST SHOW OF ANY when it comes to relating with crowd. Grounds are lush and doesn't appear much damage got done with all the rain. Everyone was so careful not to tear things up.

Yes things were downsized in anticipation of the crowd numbers being lighter due the revision of the event...but all we heard all weekend was THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for not dropping the event. Even though we only had 8 bands on the main stage, everyone was happy, happy, happy. They came for party, the camping and experience and the music was a bonus! :rockin:

Shirt shack, VIP, jumbrotron, and all will be back as normal for the Jam....so don't worry about any of that. Those were all part of the cuts in order to make it out "alive" so that Jammin Country can take place in the future. Matter-of-fact, Kathy made the announcement from the stage Saturday night that MDJC is a go for 2013!!!!! :D Everyone is so pumped and Moondance can't say thank you enough.

There was an audio tribute for Bill since there was no jumbtron and of course the salute to the troops took place. GREAT regional line up in the saloon. With the last band on the main stage at 10pm instead of 11pm, the closing regional band got to play almost 2 hours. It was so much fun dancing in the saloon.

Make sure when you get on site for Jam that you get your lanyards as the Shuffle will be going on, the Tikki bar will be open, off-sale on site this year sold out of the Lazy Moon and I hear it is very competitive so no need to get in your car (when you shouldn't) to re-stock if you run out. Lots of vendors to feed you and yes bigger cups to drink beer out of! Make sure to get a Moondance Flag and if you want to have one for your campsite....order on line now.

Now from a backstage perspective.....flawless, beautiful, wonderful. We were so organized backstage this year that life was pretty easy back there and the stress level was minimal if even at all! The new booking agent is wonderful to work with and I look so forward to working with them again at Jam!

So all and all everyone....it was a great great MDJC and knowing that it is back again next year already just sealed the deal on a great weekend. :coolcolor: :stereo:

Looking forward to seeing all of you at Jam in about 24 days.....so cups up everyone and we'll see you soon! Good weather, good friends and good music. :super80das:

Can't wait to see all of you....won't get a lot of time to chit chat, but I will always wave, give you a smile and hopefully a hug when I run by!

Great post Blonde!!
Couldn't agree with you more! Don't even know what to add to your post;
The last band that played was Lost Highway, they rocked the 4 pm main stage and yes the longer set in the Saloon was great too. Would be great to see them and 32 Below back next year, as sooner or later one or both of them will crack the big time and we can then say, remember when we saw them at Moondance in the Saloon! FYI both have new CD's coming out this within the next week, bummer we couldn't buy them this past weekend.

Yes, the grounds look great and even though we left before 9 on Sunday, they still did, don't think they had to get the tractor out to pull a stuck camper at all this weekend!

Good times! Good times indeed!

PS I guess one bad thing was I brought to much booze back home, but I take full respobsibility for that one, I'll try not to do that in a few weeks!

Peace Out!

Glad you yee-haw Jammers had a good time, maybe next year we'll come just for the party, we'll see!

Just spent some $$ on Oriental Trading Company to get some needed "stuff" for Camp Howler! Love getting into the mood of it all!!

Think we're doing OK for booze & stuff, having extra bottles from last year ~ they should be nice and extra fermented by now, right! Will hafta count the bottles of champagne for the toast, too! 2:22 Jam Thursday... may hafta move it to later, so stay tuned on here (or on our Camp Howler Facebook page) for updates on our meet n greets!

For now:
Jam Wednesday, 4:44 TIKI BAR... Blonde, you won't be too busy then to come by... need to see you & Schu & Pep cuz I'm gonna need some hugs!! Pinkie's gonna make it this year, too!!

Jam Thursday, 2:22 CAMP HOWLER (SR685+++) for our Annual Champagne Toast. Howler will do the toast to all things Moondance, in Cups Up to our friends who couldn't make it, and for those you are rockin out in Jammer Heaven ~ Mr. B, Richie Rich, and Pauly, forever in our hearts! We'll supply the champagne, and there'll be many a shot, but other than that it's BYOB, if'n ya don't mind

Jam Thursday, 4:44 SALOON ~ Traditional G Fammer Jammer Meet n Greet... Those who don't camp come find us there!! I checked & the Friends of Moondance party is at 4:00 that day so those of you who do that, please swing on by the Saloon for a howdy-do!!

I just glanced at the 'trending' thing on the side of the Yahoo homepage and saw "Lonesome George dies". In a bit of a panic I clicked on it. I didn't know there was a 100-year old Galapagos turtle named Lonesome George. Last of its kind I guess.

My beer stuff arrived today. Had to pick recipes that mature quick and meant to be drank fresh with barely any aging because I've hardly a day to spare to have some ready by Jam time. Cream ale and Irish red. If I bottled them there'd be no way, but I don't anymore :D Will be close, but I'm sure at least one will make the cut. Both of these I've made before and were fine without any 'green' quality before 3 weeks time. Most others are better off letting sit a few weeks.
