I fell a year short of making it to Jam 3, but that was a mix before decidedly going all rock. I heard that at that Jam, Johnny Paycheck had to be carried onto the stage because he didn't want his expensive boots to get muddy. Then as he broke into 'Take This Job And Shove It', he collapsed, and had to be carried back off the stage. I guess he was okay, just working beyond his expiration date, I suppose :D .

Hey! While I agree with Doug, the majority of country music should perhaps stay with country Jam, I do think Pinkie has a great idea anyway. I think the idea of a southern rock night would be awesome! And many country bands these days sound more like pop than rock, anyway. Just as long as the music isn't too " twangy", I'm down with that.

Mainly, I'm down with just having fun!

Yes, there are a lot of country acts these days that cross over to appeal to a wider audience. Some are even nice to look at. But if this happens and Kitty Wells comes hobbling on stage with her walker to croak out a 'ditty', I'm hiking in to town to go to Benson's. :D Fun is what it's all about. Watching someone stumble head-on into the PortaJohn door. Having someone stop by camp on Saturday and introduce themselves for the 4th. time with no recollection of ever being there the previous 3 days. Stories shared, memories made on-the-fly. It's where the magic lies.

Post #three hundred SIXTY NINE baby!

Cheers!
Doug

Wow, a first year miracle, apparently Moon Dance Jam went from an experience of classic jams to a troubador of new ones. Cool signing, excited and well wondering, isn't it great that the old guard can still keep rubbing their lamps and hoping? and the new guard can make wishes. too cool ,,,,,, days away,,,,,,

I don't remember if there are any slots left on Saturday, I haven't caught up after all those pages disappeared. Today, I was listening to the new Halestorm cd today (and I'm an old school metal/hard rock/classic rock guy). What a good CD. This is a good band and they are playing "in the area" on Thursday and Friday. Having said that..... :) ..... I would much prefer something like Kix, Loverboy, Tesla, etc... to round out the lineup after the Cavo announcement.
