That's a fantastic idea, I was thinking the same thing. Anyone who has seen Night Ranger will know that they can carry a crowd of any size with a great show and a huge catalog of good tunes.

I will say that early on JWG mentioned that Heart was fluctuating between headliner and nine, so while you may be disappointed, I don't believe anybody was lied to. Everybody has a right to their opinion and if you are upset with this year, I feel bad for you. It's tough to put out money and not get what you feel to be value out of it. I just can't be disappointed by an evening that includes NightRanger, Grand Funk and Heart.

Thank you. I was going to go back and find those posts. Initially they were listed as the closer, then it was decided that we were going to try to have them at nine if it worked out, but it didn't.

AND IT IS MOST DEFINITELY ABOUT THE MUSIC.

EVEN FOR ME AND MY GROUP WHO COME EVERY YEAR, GOOD OR BAD, WITHOUT THE MUSIC WE WOULDN'T BE THERE AND NEITHER WOULD ANY OF THE REST OF US ON THIS PAGE. I CAN GUARANTEE THAT NONE OF US WOULD PAY THE MONEY WE DO, DRIVE THE DISTANCE WE DRIVE TO SIT IN A FIELD AND DRINK BEER.

NOW THAT BEING SAID, THERE IS IN FACT MUSIC THIS YEAR ON THE HALLOWED GROUNDS, SO ALL WE CAN DO IS MAKE THE BEST OF WHAT WE HAVE. IS THIS YEAR DISAPPOINTING? TO ME A LITTLE, BUT TO THE GUY STANDING NEXT TO ME IN THE PEA GRAVEL, IT MAY THE BEST YEAR EVER!

I FOR ONE JUST HOPE THE WEATHER IS GOOD!

You are right and that was the plan, but like every year, things change according to the circumstances. That is why we do not post the schedule on the website until things are closer to being completed. And even on the schedule we have the disclaimer about times and schedule could change. I apologize, I should have changed that a couple weeks ago, but honestly forgot about it until someone on the board refernced it.

On a more pleasant note, the tribute bands to Van Halen and Motley Crue sound really good. Atomic Punks have some pretty cool quotes from David Lee and the boys and the lead singer even did a show with Sammy and Mike. Should be a fun start on Saturday.

Moondance is much bigger then the music. Obviously, we love good bands and have heard lots of them over
the years. OMG there is so much fun to be had at Moondance when you are not listening to music that it kinda blows me away that people cannot find things to do or people to meet that gives you value for coming to Moondance. I know it is harder for people that don't camp but for me to listen to campers complain about Moondance I just don't get it. Go have some fun, do walk abouts, stop in and drink with different camp sites. Go to the beach, go golf, go do something! Any and all of the that plus the music is well worth the price. Life and Moondance is what you make it. Thanks for listening. ;)

Well said & I totally agree ShermanND!!!
