I'm sorry for the lag in songs of the day. I have been on the run since Thursday night at a 3 day swim meet while also fitting in a wedding and The Offspring concert last night. I will pick back up today with songs from Jam Friday heavyweights Huey Lewis and the News and The Doobie Brothers. So many songs to pick from for these two!

For Huey Lewis & the News there is their #6 hit "Heart of Rock & Roll" and the Back to the Future hit "Back in Time." For the Doobie Brothers, enjoy a live 1975 version of "Jesus is Just Alright" as well as their #15 hit "China Grove."

Huey Lewis & the News

Back in Time - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4xf50aUxaE

The Doobie Brothers

China Grove - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTCyO9MpGUM
The music brought me to Moondance Jam. The people bring me back.

Today's songs are from Saturday bands Black Star Riders and Finger Eleven. If you don't know, Black Star Riders are the band that was Thin Lizzy but decided to change their name when recording a new album. They still have that classic Thin Lizzy sound. Today you can hear it on one of their first singles "Kingdom of the Lost" and their latest single "Finest Hour" off their recently released 2nd album. From Finger Eleven is their #6 smash hit "Paralyzer" and one of their Canadian hits "Good Times," which to me sounds a lot like Incubus.

Sorry again for the delay but I've been building a fence all week for my dog. Finally done!!

Today's songs are from Peter Frampton, who I have been waiting for years to see at the jam, and Shinedown, who I believe is the biggest name of the newer bands the jam has signed since starting to focus on modern rock.

From Frampton, there is "Do You Feel (Like We Do)," in my opinion the best live song of all time, and his stellar Grammy winning version of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun."

From Shinedown, there is their #1 Mainstream Rock hit "Sound of Madness" and their #3 hit "45".
