Could it be LILLIAN AXE? Maybe ENUFF Z'NUFF? Or even PAISTY JENNY? They're all playing "somewhere".

Having that TBA slot still open keeps some of the excitement alive...

We will either see a great surprise, or a great disappointment. When Thin Lizzy cancelled a couple of years back, I was disappointed in the Ozzy tribute band...

Here is my new list with Fuel now signed.

1. Kiss (still can't believe they are coming!)
2. Stone Temple Pilots (potential to be the show everyone talks about)
3. Burton Cummings (such a huge catalog to choose from)
4. Paul Rodgers (my first time seeing him)
5. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (another I have never seen)
6. 38 Special (always put on a good show)
7. The Outlaws (such a great sound)
8. Candlebox (it has been years since I have seen them)
9. Fuel (Several hits I know - now I need to get their greatest hits)
10. Eddie Money (would be higher if I knew he would be sober)
11. 3 Doors Down (I haven't been able to get excited about them yet)
12. Cracker (can't wait to hear "Low" - such a great song)
13. Great White (should be interesting seeing them with a different singer)

1. Paul Rodgers - we'll Hear stuff from Free, Bad Company, Solo stuff, maybe even a Queen tune. And you know his backing band will be A#1 - 'nuff said.
2. Burton Cummings - Guess Who, solo, maybe even A BTO tune (if a Bachmann happens to drop in). Best pure song writer this year.
3. The Outlaws - Great sound, fabulous guitar work (this will probably be the best guitar work in the Jam this year).
4. 38 Special - See Outlaws with a little more party attitude.
5. Great White - Quintessential 80's FM Hard Rock - very capable.
6. Stone Temple Pilots - Decent enough, although alot of their songs sound the same. Turn the gain down a hair and more lead guitar solo's please.
7. KISS - Great spectacle, Great nostalgia, My first date concert back in the 70's. Musically??- Uh, that's not why you want to see Kiss.
8. Eddie Money - It's gonna depend on his band. Nice enough song catalog - a little pop break so to speak. If he's hammered just tune out the vocals.
9. Three Doors Down - could surprise.
10. Candlebox - Filler.
11. Cracker - With cheese too?
12. Fuel - 3 chord Bar band.
13. Joan Jett - please - Who is at the Saloon stage during this slot?.

Is the Jam easing away from Classic Rock? Watching age demographics perhaps?
Gimme Journey, Kansas, REO, Grand Funk, Hagar, Walsh, Cheap Trick, etc.

BEEN BUSY AND HAVEN'T GOT TO THIS UNTIL NOW, BUT HERE IS MY LIST:

1. KISS - THESE GUYS BLEW ME AWAY AT THE STATE FAIR LAST YEAR! HOLD ON MDJ!

2. STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - AWESOME SIGNING, I HAVE A FEELING THAT THESE GUYS WILL SURPRISE!

3. PAUL RODGERS - HUGE TALENT, HUGE CATALOG, NUFF SAID

4. EDDIE MONEY - ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVS AT MDJ. I FOR ONE HOPE THAT HE IS DRUNK!

5. .38 SPECIAL - GOOD OL' SOUTHERN ROCK AND ANOTHER MDJ FAV.

6. CANDLEBOX - DIRECT FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL DAYS, LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS!

7. FUEL - GOOD BAND WITH GOOD SONGS, COULD BE THE SURPRISE OF THE JAM!

8. BURTON CUMMINGS - EXCELLENT CATALOG, BUT IT'S NOT THE GUESS WHO.

9. 3 DOORS DOWN - KINDA WHATEVER ON THIS ONE, ALL THE SONGS SOUND THE SAME, HOPE TO BE SURPRISED.

10. JOAN JETT - NOT A LARGE ENOUGH SING ALONG CATALOG FOR A 9 PM SLOT. WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT AT 5 OR 7.

11. GREAT WHITE - COULD MOVE UP POST PERFORMANCE, BUT NOT EXPECTING MUCH HERE.

12. OUTLAWS - DON'T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THEM AND WHAT I HAVE HEARD HASN'T BLOWN ME AWAY.

13. CRACKER - THEY ARE PLAYING AT 3 AND THAT IS WHERE THEY BELONG.

14. BELFAST COWBOYS - NOT A HUGE VAN MORRISON FAN, EVEN LESS OF A VAN MORRISON TRIBUTE BAND FAN

15. THUNDHERSTRUCK - NEVER REALLY GOT WHAT THE FUSS WAS ABOUT HERE. THEY ARE OK AT BEST IMHO.

I DID NOT INCLUDE THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BANDS IN MY LIST OTHERWISE HAIRBALL WOULD HAVE MADE TOP TEN EASILY THIS YEAR. AS MY LIST INDICATES WITH 3 OF MY TOP FOUR BANDS, FRIDAY IS SHAPING UP TO BE MY FAVORITE DAY PRE JAM. HERE IS MY RANKING OF DAYS:

1. FRIDAY
2. SATURDAY
3. WEDNESDAY
4. THURSDAY

1) KISS - come on, you know people will crawl out of the woodwork for this show
2) STP - yay! Always wanted to see them
3) Paul Rodgers, sexiest Rock/blues voice next to Robert Plant :wootrock:
4) Burton Cummings - because I like to sing along
5) 38 Special - perrenial favirite Southern Fried Rock, a must for every Jam
6) 3 Doors Down - really commercial, but I still like many of their songs
7) Joan Jett - she is so FUN to rock out to and my dh likes to speculate which girl in the audience Joan is coming on to
8) Great White- decent choice for obligatory hair band, they dont suck
9) Fuel - have some good songs
10) ThundHERstruck - they rock
11) Eddie Money - never been a huge fan but he does work hard to give MDJ a show every time
12) Outlaws- only know a song or two
13) Cracker & Candlebox tie - only know one song each, surprise me?

Anything not in my list isnt for a reason but could change my mind after hearing and seeing all the bands
