As pertaining to "The Band" Richard Manuel, passed away in 1986, Rick Danko Passed in 1999. Surviving members Gart Hudson is 74; Levon Helm is 71, and is still putting out great music, and Robbie Robertson for all purposes with the exception of a couple of occasions, has not played with the group since 1976.
As for "Mountain" another great band, Bass player Felix Pappalardi, died in 1983, a tragic loss. The surviving members, with various added new members over the years, have done some "newer" recordings, and have gone on the road; the last time I believe was in 2008. And Guitarist Leslie West who has put out some great solo albums, has demonstrated not only is he a great Rock 'n' Roll guitarist, but also great at doing "blues".

Artimus Pyle! was absolutely amazing on the ship... Drummer from Skynyrd before Ronnies crash... played alot of Skynyrd Tunes with soul...(I think better than Skynyrd)
Also Marshall Tucker was AMAZING.....7-piece band, The Keyboard/Flute/Sax/Horn player had it going on...(Marcus)..
I'd see either of these again!

Lynrd Skyrnd would be awesome for any night at the Jam. Saw them at Winstock one year and that was one of the best shows I have seen.
